Catherine Addy

Certified Speech Language Pathologist

Catherine earned her Bachelor’s degree in communication sciences and disorders from Michigan State University and her Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology from South Carolina State University. Catherine’s clinical experiences allowed her to work with individuals, birth to geriatric, in a variety of settings. These settings have included private practice, schools, hospitals, and outpatient clinics. She has evaluated and treated individuals with a variety of communication disorders including: articulation disorders, receptive and expressive language disorders, dysphagia, childhood apraxia of speech, autism spectrum disorders, central auditory processing disorder, cerebral palsy, fluency disorders, traumatic brain injury, and aphasia. Ever since she could remember, she has wanted to work with children to help improve their communication skills. Catherine feels that increased communication skills will help a child’s self-esteem and limit his/her frustration in communicating with others. Catherine is passionate about working with children with communication disorders and loves having the opportunity to collaborate with families on treatment goals. Catherine specializes in:

Addison Price

Addison earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Allied Health Sciences, with an emphasis in Speech Language Pathology, from Grand Valley State University and her Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology from Wayne State University. Addison has always had a passion for working with young children in improving their communication skills, boosting their confidence and being an advocate for them and their family. She believes effective communication skills are a crucial part of the development of emotional skills, social skills, academic skills and an overall more satisfying quality of life. Addison has gained clinical experience across the lifespan, with an emphasis in pediatrics, in a variety of settings including pediatric outpatient facilities, adult outpatient facilities, and Headstart programs. She has evaluated and treated children with a variety of communication disorders including: Articulation Disorder, Phonological Disorder, Childhood Apraxia of Speech, Fluency Disorders, Expressive and Receptive Language Disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down Syndrome, children who require augmentative/alternative communication systems (AAC), Aphasia secondary to stroke, Dysarthria secondary to stroke and High Level Language Impairment. Shelby earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Allied Health Sciences, with an emphasis in Speech Language Pathology, from Grand Valley State University. She then earned her Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology at Michigan State University. Shelby has a range of clinical experiences across the lifespan including schools, private practice, acute care, and post-acute transitional rehabilitation. She is passionate about working with children and their families and providing optimal guidance, support, and resources for them to be effective communicators in all aspects of their lives. She believes each child is unique and strives to develop individualistic, child-centered intervention and plans of care. In her free time, Shelby enjoys traveling, outdoor sports/activities, and spending time with friends, family, and her cat Chip.

Nichole Lundy

Doctorate of Physical Therapy
Pediatric Physical Therapist

Nichole received her Bachelor of Science degree in Physiology from the Lyman Briggs School at Michigan State University in May 2005. She received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Central Michigan University in May of 2009. She has experience in inpatient long-term rehabilitation, inpatient acute-care rehabilitation and outpatient orthopedics. Nichole is married and has a cat named Buster. In her time off she enjoys spending time with her family, crafting, cooking and kayaking. Nichole provides physical therapy at our East Lansing and DeWitt clinic.

Dani Warner

Pediatric Physical Therapist

Dani received her Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Health Fitness in Preventative and Rehabilitative Science and a minor in Psychology, from Central Michigan University in May of 2005. She received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Central Michigan University in May of 2008. She has experience with a variety of ages and diagnoses in outpatient and home care settings. Dani is married with 2 children and enjoys many different activities and experiences with them, including traveling, sports, and anything outdoors. She provides physical therapy at our East Lansing clinic.

Michael Veresh

Pediatric Physical Therapist

Michael earned his doctorate in physical therapy in 2007. He has extensive experience with a vast variety of gait dysfunctions, pathologies, and diagnoses. He as worked in several therapeutic settings and obtained his certification as an Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapist through Oakland University in 2010. Aside from treating patients at FYZICAL Therapy and Balance Center, Michael is adjunct faculty at Grand Valley State University teaching in the Physical Therapy program. During his time off, Michael enjoys reading, traveling, running, swimming, biking, water skiing and volleyball.

Heather Devereaux

Pediatric Occupational Therapist Registered/Licensed

Heather earned her Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from Western Michigan University in 2010. Heather has past experience in inpatient rehabilitation, skilled nursing rehabilitation, Hippotherapy, aquatic therapy, and outpatient adult rehabilitation. She has worked primarily with the pediatric population since obtaining her degree. Heather believes in creating a fun environment that each child would want to learn and increase their independence across all environments. She believes parents are a crucial part to therapeutic treatment and enjoys working with parents to progress their child’s success. Heather specializes in:

Katelyn Sakkinen

Certified Pediatric Occupational Therapist

Kate earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology from Michigan State University and continued her education at Eastern Michigan University where she earned her Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy. Kate thoroughtly enjoys working with children and their families on developing the skills to help them become more independent within their environments. Kate has previous experience in school-based OT, inpatient/outpatient neurological conditions and acute care. In her free time, Kate manages the Michigan Corgi Club and enjoys golfing and snowboarding.

 

Kevin Koenigsknecht

Certified Pediatric Occupational Therapist

Kevin earned his Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Saginaw Valley State University. He has clinical experiences in a variety of rehabilitation settings including short-term rehab, acute care, community mental health, outpatient orthopedics and pediatrics. Kevin believes each patient is different and has needs unique to each individual. His goal to tailor each treatment to fit the needs of the patient and their family. In his spare time, Kevin enjoys spending time with his wife and family. Some of his favorite leisure pursuits include participating in numerous outdoor activities such as camping, visiting northern Michigan and playing sports.

Jesse Wilbert

Pediatric Physical Therapist Assistant

Jesse earned his associates in applied science of Physical Therapist Assistant from Delta College in May 2017.  Jesse has clinical experience in sub-acute rehab, outpatient orthopedics, and pediatrics. Jesse enjoys camping, being outdoors and staying active by swimming, hiking, and working out. He also loves playing and watching sports like baseball, basketball and football. Jesse provides care at our East Lansing clinic.

Kristin Hustafa

Pediatric Physical Therapist Assistant

Kristin graduated with an Associate in Applied Science from Kellogg Community College. She has clinical experience in skilled nursing, sub-acute rehab, and outpatient physical therapy. She is certified in LSVT BIG treatment. Kristin enjoys spending time outdoors with her two children and dog. She provides care at our Delta clinic.

Office Manager

Jill Shoemaker joined FYZICAL’s billing department in March of 2015. She graduated in 2012 from Ferris State University with her Bachelor’s degree in Health Care Systems Administration. In her free time, Jill enjoys hanging out with her friends and family, traveling, going to the movies, working out and anything that involves being in the sun!

Ashley Burger

Assistant Office Manager

Ashley joined FYZICAL’s team back in 2003. Ashley has filled in at all three locations, but has spent most of her time as an Accounts Specialist in our Billing Department. When her family was growing, Ashley took a few years to be at home, but has returned to the team to continue serving our community in this way. On the weekends, she leads worship for Faith Church at the DeWitt campus, and enjoys working on projects around the house. Currently, her family is raising chickens and ducks, and there is never a dull moment in their house!
